After one year of voluntary service in Douala, Cameroon, Jan Philipp Hahn began his studies of Protestant Theology at HU. His general interest in African Culture and African Christian communities became an important focus in his studies and led him to work at the chair of intercultural theology and the chair of the sociology of religion. Besides this focus, he is very interested in interreligious dialogue, which impelled him to learn Arabic. He plans to do a study year in Lebanon in 2021-2022.
