Cosmo Mapitsa (Born 1985) studied Geography and History at the University of Johannesburg, and Law at the Universities of South Africa and Cape Town. He has experience as a researcher across different areas, including local government planning & migration, livelihoods & poverty; and impacts of the implementation of water laws on communities. His current research interests are in the areas of the relationship between the state and religion, and the role of traditional belief systems in sustainable development.
