I am a full professor in the Department of Religion and Theology at the University of the Western Cape, South Africa. My main teaching and research focus crosscuts the related fields of theology and development, religion and development, religion and society, and diaconal studies. The interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary approach to my work has led to publications across the theological, religious studies and social science disciplines.
