Robekkah Ritchie's research interests intersect between contemporary Buddhism, ecology, material culture and women in Buddhism, with a focus on Theravada Buddhism. Robekkah's PhD, undertaken at the Freie Universität Berlin, explored the Buddhist movement, Santi Asoke in Thailand, the group's aesthetics and relationship to the environment.
